I've seen a few of these through the years. Of course it's not a 'real' Cobra - that is I'm quite certain it's a ripoff of the Cobra name. Never got to look inside one but I would imagine it's on par with many of the amps built around that time.
But for $450? No. Pretty sure they didn't sell for that much when new.
Reminds me of a Palomar Deluxe 35amp Base station power supply I had many years ago. I believe the amp had 4 SD1446 transistors in it. Output was very clean with no interference to neighbors electronics or land line phones.
Also had a very clean signal on SSB.
Wish I still had it like many other items once owned and then sold for some reason or another at the time.
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
