Bit the bullet....
Testing it out. So far, it works good on UHF and 800MHz, but I expected that. VHF isn't anything special. Its supposed to perform better when mounted on the corner edge. I'll run it both ways to see. I also have a spare groundplane kit for base use. I might try that. Regardless, I smell some turd. Just have to wait and see. I don't think I'll have any issue receiving any of the systems I monitor.
