I have this radio on my bench and it has had issues. 1, Modded by a shop. 2 would not switch on every time, fixed that issue and it transmits like a champ BUT there is something wrong with the squelch. Something is holding it on. Adjustment makes no difference. If I pull the transistor out the audio is great.. Put the transistor back and the audio 400 mV signal to the audio chip is gone. I know some references to other schematics exist but they are not the same, the audio chip is a 2003 not the 7222. Any ideas?
