I have a Diamond eagle mic with serial# 00030. It's showing it's age and thinking about having it replated. Does anyone know if Astatic really used 18k plating on their golden products.

from what i've been able to dig up i'm reading it was 20k...also read somewhere that the head was gold and the bottom was brass??

haven't been able to find anything "official" tho...there's gotta be some way of getting it checked out? aren't jewellers good at that kinda thing?
