I bought a used 250 last month cheap that im working on..
When i got it the tubes were low but the rest of the amp is ok. I do have NOS tubes to use and i plan to get new filter caps for it.
What will the PEP be with new tubes both new drivers and finals? The drivers are 6JT6a's and the finals are 6MJ6 tubes.
Another question is i was told by an old timer once that ran a 250 that there is a mod were you can convert the drivers to use 6LQ6/6JE6/6MJ6 tubes.
He said you can use 2 driving 4 or 2 driving 6.
is this an easy mod to do?
