I have one of the new RCI 6900F25's. I think it's the same as the 6900FHP, but for the rubber coated nobs and the fix for the birdie noise problem.

It d-keys on low just a little over 1 watt and on high 7.5 watts. It has varable power, but I'd like to incress the low d-key a little for driving my Cobra XL 350 amp. That way all I have to do is turn it all the way to the left, instead of adjusting it. What VR and where is it on the board?

Seems to drive about the best at 2.5 watts. Does that sound about right?

Thanks,

Mr Gnome

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
