How much fun it is working 20 meters on the I-10k :)

The one you will have hard time believing is on 7.190 this AM by mistake :(
Think that may be like a 1/8th wave... Glad the radio didn`t blow

I was on 10 meters last night and forgot to switch over to the wire.

They don`t call me dimwit for nuting.

John

BTW, makes a great short wave antenna also

Did you know that Jay has built a 20 meter I-10K? It's a full 5/8 wave on 20m. I have not seen it personally, but he sent pics a while back. It's massive - not for the weak of heart. But if you have the means to put it up and can pay it, he probably would build you one, too :)

It should be a little larger than a 1/4 wave on 20m.

I've also used my Penetrator for 10-160m, albeit with a tuner. - It worked, though I don't believe it radiated very efficiently.

A full 5/8 on 20m would have to be about 43' tall... that should require guy line about 1/2 way up!

...and 17 foot radials!?! Whoa!
