Did I blow my 7000 Finals?

When I key the mic, the radio restarts. When I unplug the CI-V cable from the rear connector, the radio shuts off and a clicking noise is heard. The same thing happens when I unplug the USB connector from my Mac. Both go to a microHam IC13 controller that I use with MLDX software to interface with the radio. What is the symptom for blown finals? It does receive on all bands but of course this has nothing to do with transmitting. Thanks.

That doesn't sound like blown finals - That sounds like something that might be worse. If your blown finals, everything will seem like it's working fine, but you'll have very little, if any, power output. Try unplugging everything from the radio except the mic and the antenna and see if it still restarts when you key it. If it does, send it in for repair.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
