Had some issues with mine that were easily corrected but tough to figure out. I like the radio a lot. The Chinese don't let their engineers communicate outside China so support answers and documentation can't be obtained. I'll post the link to this group. There was a lot of mashing of teeth, but there's cheat sheets for the hidden engineering menus and such in there. There's a facebook group too that has some basic videos and such. Lots of buttons on the thing. I was super impressed with FM, although it's not used by many folks yet.
Got the radio back. AM squelch is still crap. Have to set it to zero all the time. Maybe the engineer's need to get out of the lab once in a while and explore the real world. At the Cincinnati machine shop, the engineer's offices were on the 2nd story of the machine shop. The boss came in...
well over weeks use no cussing it. im used to it n dang the ssb is great . main reason i bought it.
now if it will last like my 99v.
1 thing thats off ,the swr meeter like all internal meters is not great . reads tad low.any way to adjust it? if anybody knows show pictures n details
Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
