I'm a sucker for believing antenna designs. So I bought a DP200 whizz bang antenna that works from 7MHZ to 54MHZ. I haven't put it on a pole yet. Mine did not include the 40 meter matcher loop. I have enough stuff to make a loop if I had the dimensions. So folks could another follower of these forms who bought one of these have the 40 meter matcher measurements?
Back in the late 1950's (younger then) I used to see cars with a HALO antenna I think the frequency they were used for was 6 meter ?? Maybe for 2 meter?? I don't know if they were commercially made or experimenter made? I was a shy person so I never ask the owners. Back then I was interested in ham radio but never had an Elmer to help me understand. But now I want to get back to 6 meter.
I built a Ramsey 6meter kit and had a lot of fun at 9 watts that is all I could sqeeze out with bending stressing coils. I added a tone encoder for repeater operation too. The antenna was a thru glass ASP 50 MHZ. in the top middle of the windshield.
