general type question here..got a little desk fan to run under my astron 70amp ps to help run cooler..the instuctions for the fan said to always turn the fan off first then unplug the fan and the part i dont understand is it says to never leave the plug plugged in when the fan is off..why ? whats wrong with just turning the fan off ?

Maybe they're afraid that cheap, Chinese-made fan will burst into flames if left plugged in.

Yeah that's all I can think of.......

but doesn't that Astron 70 come with an internal fan? I think it does. If you can't hear one running then you need to get into it and check out the problem.

the astron gets hot right under the on switch.the company said its normal and the fan wont come on till realy hot even with no load it gets hot. id rather run it cooler so i got the fan..the fan realy made a difference a.. fan was only 9/10 bucks so why not....

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
