Hey does anyone know what Expo Kit a TRC465/Uniden 122 needs to go above channel 40? I think it's the "N" kit but I can't remember. Thanks.

It is indeed the "N" kit you need. The Expo "N" gets you 40 up and 40 down, the Galaxy "N" kit gets you 64 up OR 64 down. The Galaxy "N" kit is more stable and is the better way to go if all you're needing is to go above 40.

Hope this helps!

~Cheers~

Outstanding, many thanks.

Looks like the Galaxy N kit's are tough to find, only 3 sales on E-Bay since November.

I have been hearing all the expo kits are getting hard to locate over the past several years.

Back in 1991 or so the kit I got for a Uniden Grant was $30 or so ...I am wondering what they go for these days

the price is about 30.00 and up. I was paying under 20.00 for them in the mid 2000's time. a lot of the wholesale suppliers sold them back then. I ran on to 2 A+ kits last night for 28.50 each shipped so not to bad on the price.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
