By random chance, I flipped the radio to 30m using PSK31 tonight and caught F5TTI calling CQ. I got him with 100 watts, no problem. This was a neat contact because reaching Europe can be a challenge from my location with an Inverted V at 40 feet.

5,600 miles roughly. Attached kmz file for google earth if interested in viewing Vermelles France. I really enjoy viewing aerial photographs of the places that I dx or have the potential to dx.

just save the kmz file and add it to your google earth app. it looks like beautiful country side outside the town. alot of farming looks like.

on edit: unable to upload kmz file, not type accepted i think. ok, just enter vermelles france in google earth and fly there.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
