Fake Galaxy Radios.

I see. How is this radio any different than your average Galaxy, Ranger, whatever "10 meter " or "export" radio?

My definition of "export" radios is radios that do not meet FCC regulations, and are imported for purposed of exporting them to a country where the radios are legal. Some countries use different frequencies for CB than the US does. Others require FM for CB. If one imports a radio designed for Europe with the purpose of exporting to Europe, then there is no violation of the law. If one imports the same radio and states on the import forms that no FCC id is required because the radio is imported for export, but then tries to sell the radio in the US, it could be smuggling because a false statement was made on the import forms.

The Ranger 10 meter radios meet FCC requirements. Therefore, they are not "export" radios, at least under my definition.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
