Stretch it out straight with no kinks. Lay it across your thigh and using a medium-large SHARP knife, lay the knife almost parallel to the wire and hold the knife steady while pulling the wire. Move the wire, not the knife.This skins one side of the insulation and you just have to peel the rest off easily. Been doing that for almost 40 years and never cut myself (because the knife is not moving) and I can strip a lot of wire in a very short time. I have stripped miles of THNN and coaxial cable this way.You could anchor one end in a vice ad do the same thing but it tends to bind due to sag.
