Hi,

I have never fitted one of these counters, so you will need to be a lttle more specific about the connections you require it to have, when you say USB,LSB,AM tap points do you mean a frequency source or a voltage source that changes with each mode ?

As for the VCO connection point I would suggest connecting to the output of L20, which is connected to TP1, R106, R107, you may need to retune L20 after you have finished the installation as it may load down the adjusment slightly.

If you require voltage sources for each mode the connnection points are:

AM: L26

LSB: L24

USB: L25

Be carefull to ensure that you connect to the mode switch side of each inductor (where the wires go to the PCB) , otherwise you may effect the frequency alignments of X3.

You should get about 8V at these points.

Let me know how you get on.

Re: fc-390 counter to uniden washington w/8719 pll??wiring??

Hey Defpom, long time sir! thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure, but I believe I need freq. source tap points. I was

wrong too,I only need them for LSB,USB, & VCO.

The instructions are for a 148 cobra but the 385 board is

layed out different and w/different component numbers.

When I get the rig back from the guy I'll dig in and see what

I come up with. Thank you again sir. It's a start for sure.
