Finally,a decent meter for the Yaesu 857/897

If you haven't found it yet check out the LDG external mater for the Yaesu 857/897 radios. The only thing I don't like about my 857 is the meter and it looks like I can mark that off the list.I plan to order one of these sometime soon.

I have one and it works great, you will like it.can watch swr on the meter and power on the display of the radio or any setup you want.

Thanks HH. I was waiting to hear from someone that had one before I ordered one myself.On the radio's display you can monitor signal strength and voltage at the same time. I assume that the external meter readings are set by the radio's menu functions?I can't find my radio manual right now.The wife made me clean up the shack and now I can't find a thing. :?

Has anyone heard if this meter will work with a yaesu ft100d.
It would be a nice addition,i would much rather use an analog meter.

Does the FT-100D have a jack for an external meter? I didn't think it did but I may be wrong.
