LMAO...A change in humidity, temperature or pressure within the troposphere could (temporarily) change the impededance of your antenna which would result in a change in SWR. Skip could also occur with those changes, but to say that your SWR changed due to skip is...well...kinda silly. You would see the change in SWR whether skip was rolling or not.

Joe Carr has written some good stuff over the years. This particular book has been around for a while, so there are going to be parts that aren't exactly as up to date as they could be (4rth printing?). There's a bunch of 'good stuff' like this floating around, if you can find it, and not just by Mr. Carr. A lot of it seems a little redundant, but that can tell you a few things too. Joe Carr also did a few of the 'Electronics for Dummys' sort of things, which were quite good. Wish I could remember what I did with a few of them!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
