I have a Messenger M4V amplifier that I'd like to trade. I bought this amp from a fellow WWDX forum member, Chris S., as a repair unit. The driver transistor got smoked along with the input resistors and the bias choke. I did all the repairs, replaced the transistor, and now it works it should. Preamp is fully functional. I added surge capacitors on every set of transistors to aid with bias voltage stability. There is also a 1/8" mono jack mounted for direct keying.
This amp is physically too large for the vehicle, and I'm looking for something that's smaller. I'm wanting to perhaps trade for a Texas Star 500 4 button, original Palomar (Magnum) 4 transistor, or perhaps a Gray 4 transistor. Looking for something that's 4 transistors, and does 300-500W, ideally.
