Hey, I don't know if you already got this problem solved, but... I have the same radio, and my biggest problem was that I didn't have it hooked up to the batt well enough.. Straight to the posts, fine hook up, but I stopped having problems when I hooked it up directly to the cigarette lighter. It stopped all of the problems it was having. I know you think it is hooked up well and all, but just try it.. It will most likely do it..

You may want to take a peek at the original posting date, some posts from before 2006 seem to have been corrupted in the database, and sport the 1969 date... this is at least a 4 year old post, and "Sam" is no longer a member here.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
