There were 2 radios made 11b and the 22b those radios were then redone to be better and the new models were the 2517 (11B) and the 2527 (22B) 2517 still made the 2527 no longer made I have to of these 2527 which were in my oppinion the best galxy base radios providing they were not setup with a golden screwdriver tech involved with it.
The other thing was people complaining about frying the power supplies and its associated components that was do do cranking the radio up to get every last watt out of it which was pointless YOU WILL NEVER HEAR THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 25 WATTS AND 40 WATTS All your gonna hear is that power supply frying out when running it that hard.
They will last forever providing you dont pound the p!$$ out of them I ran one of mine non stop since the mid 1990s.
