OK problem is when I key up the radio it draws 10 amps at only 10 watt deadkey? Turn power up and the amps go up hard. 30 watt DK draws 20+ amps? What should I look for here? Radio 07 model can send for warranty but long wait that way

Thanks. Everything does seem to work fine otherwise. Aslo for forgot to mention this radio was at Clays radio for repair and came back this way?? Very sloppy ooking work inside I have to say and not trying to slam anyone either as they have a good reputation? They replaced a voltage regulator.

Check for solder splashes,around the area of the regulator.
If this was what was replaced.Or in that area.
Sounds like you have a short circuit.Might very well be
in that area.Sometimes when some people change out
parts they use way too much solder.Causeing short circuits.

Problem fixed. Was the vr2 on amp board tuned way to high. Backed it down to 4 volts working normal now. Thanks.
