Galaxy DX 959 NO AUDIO

Welcome to the forum Rick. This thread is from 2014 and refers to a different radio. You might try starting a brand new thread with your radio model number in the title rather then high jack this one. More people will see your question and you will get a much faster response.

Now, if you read through the thread, you know that these radios can have no audio for a wide variety of reasons.

Can you please be more specific?

Kinda' purrdy little radio...

S/RF meter - DOES it RECEIVE? Do you get any indication of signal strength while you listen?

Antenna? Hooked up - what cha' working with?

These radio come with Receive working right out of the box so you don't need a Microphone to hear the signals that thing picks up on the channels...

Does the SQUELCH work?

Lots of things here - I could go on...

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
