Galaxy DX2547

I have a Galaxy DX2547, with selector in the MOD position my meter moves on am with modulation but on upper or lower ssb meter does not move,,,, on pwr selection meter moves fine also on mfj versa tuner works well just wondering if there is a problem in the radio itself. i am electronic good worked on electronics for 40 years any info would be appreicated Thanks

None of my radios display ssb modulation on the mod meter, it's normal. Use the rf pwr meter as indication of ssb modulation.
