Q39 is the main limiter. I just did a 93 that was sent to me from Texas today. Sounded great AM/SSB.

this radio sounds awesome on am but side band is very muffeld sounds like it way over driven very fuzzy we can turn mic gain way down and still sounds the same (bad) i think its transmiting on freq but some thing else is wrong anybody had this kinda poblem with this radio its only two days old and anyone have any ideas lets hear em ok panama backen out

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
