I just picked up a General Lee (cheap). It has a clicking sound. It happens on both car and power supply power. When it does stop (briefly), the TX/RX is good. I've gently wiggled all the external and internal wires, with no change... What could it be?

clicking huh?do you see a relay inside anywhere?its possible someone added a relay style talkback, such a talkback could effect both transmit and receive.
other than that i dont know ...bad ground arcing somewhere?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
