Hi guys I am working on this Golden Eagle 1k and I am trying to get it straightened out these seem to be rather troublesome units sometimes as not having 27lf6 tubes available anyways I seem to be having issues with the 27k ohm resistor on the power supply board, originally it had one of those grey ones with the print on it instead of color code rings and you can tell by the board it is getting very hot and was out of spec as it tested 32k ohm were these grey resistors made to withstand more heat because the new one I replaced it with is burning the first time I powered it up. Also would the 3055 transistor have anything to do with this I have tested it and it is functioning but would a Tip50 transistor work better ?
