The meter itself is in good condition , seems to work OK concerning TX on AM and SSB , it basically concerns the RX , in other words , up close signals will only read half scale at most , it only concerns the meter that I can tell , AM and SSB VR1 and VR2 WILL NOT change the signals in other then up to half scale ? even then , you can only go so much with adjustments before TX'ing on either SSB or AM would slam the needle way to hard on the meter . Is there a resistor or part that would also control the functions of this meter if the VR's alone can't get the job done ? Thanks
