hi i just got a new cb its a cobra 19dx IV and i use it as a base by hooking it up to a dc13.8v 3amp switching power supplt i was wonderin do i still have to ground the radio even thoufh the power supply plugs into a three prong outlet if so plz tell me were to connect the ground wire. the power supply has two circular screw on of terminals so u loosen the terminal put in the wire and tighten the terminal

Do you have to for the radio to work? No. However, it is generall a good idea to ground all station equipment using a common bus type ground system.

clcik that link and follow it to marconis set up.
in his pictures you will see how he did his station ground setup.
normaly you would run the last wire to the ground rod outside but he in in a basement gives you a good idea on how its done.

Give me a little credit Chris  Marconi might take offense :x

Sorry, couldn't resist.
