Hi All,
Picked up a ham international multimode 3 mobile radio.

The radio checks out fine and everything work ok for an old export radio.

Cybernet chasis 02a chip.

Problem was on lsb while talking to a friend and the radio was powered and in use for about 30 minutes. The things just starts drifting 2-3kc. Doesn't matter receive or transmit it was doing it.

I had a few of these radios years ago when they first made it here to the US and never had this problem.

I thought there might be a quick fix?

Any ideas?

Dave

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
