I wanted to give you guys a heads up on the newer Cobra 25 LTD Classics that have the TDA 2003 audio chip in them.

If you get one in that has no audio output but has a good carrier along with no RX from the speaker but the meter is showing it is receiving plus no audio on PA you would think the audio chip has gone out. Wrong!

There seems to be an issue with C550 going bad. This is the 3rd one I have seen over the last month.

Just wanted to share this info!

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
