The info is there, the thing is you need to cut the traces to some of the pins to the microprocessor, I am sure the traces are small, so you would have to work carefully, and to make the noise blanker switch work as the reset button, also involves cutting traces, and soldering in what i believe a tight place(close trace spacing)if you bugger the board up, you have a paper-weight. I really do think if you have not done any work inside a radio on the board, this is most likely not the place to start. If at all possible I would send it out to a shop to have the work done, that way you will be assured a working rig...


It takes some practice to work comfortably on the rigs that have SMD`s in them..and a steady hand. Better to practice on a few $5.00 yard sale rigs before going in-to your best radio.
