2004 Chevy Silverado, couple of VHF/UHF radios, APRS, a TS-480 and a screw driver antenna. Things working very well! So... I traded off the truck, got a new car/SUV/truck (just depends on who'z doing the classifying as to what it is). Chevy 'HHR', it's RED! Took longer to clean out the truck than it did to 'do the deal', that's weird!
Why? Cuz it's red, it looks like a '52 Chevy which was the first car I ever drove, I like it, and it's red! (Which says nothing about getting three times the gas millage and I do 'delivery' stuff. I figure the savings in gas will almost make the payments, sort of.)
I just ~thought~ I had problems finding places to put stuff in that pickup! I had a problem finding the @#$ battery in the 'HHR' to make power connections, but did (it's in the back). Glued one radio control head tot he dash, no idea where to put the others. I can forget using a screw driver antenna on it without some serious body modifications (well, not yet, anyway). Found an old mag-mount for the VHF antenna (painted it red naturally!). Even pin-striped it, the HHR, not the mag-mount.
So, where the #3II do I drill holes to mount two more antennas? No idea what's under that headliner, honestly don't wanna find out if there's a way around that. (Looked at every kind of 'lip' mount in the world, nothing will work. Forget the bumpers, ain't no way.)
So, I'm open for suggestions, especially from anyone who'z got an HHR! I'd like to stay fairly inconspicuous, sort of.

This thing has got a "DIC"! No, it isn't that kind'a one! It's a "Driver Information Center". Tell's me all kind of things I never really thought about before. I've seen over a 65 mpg reading (instantaneous), which ain't what it sounds like, but very psychologically pleasing! I think i made a good deal.

Drill a hole in the side near the rear of that panel truck Yo.
