I need to fab up a mount for my car a1nd I was wondering if anyone here has done this and if so, what type of stock did you use?

I'm making one that will mount to the inside of the hatch (the main body of the car rather then the hatch itself), and I need it to be odd shaped, hence why I need to make it. Doing this for a Alpha antenna vertical setup with 13ft whip.

1/8" stainless flat stock?

like this?? :

Not long enough. Mine i going to be mounted at the top of my hatch on the body. The mount has to be longer so that the hatch can open and not hit any of the mounted aqntennaq. But I am assuming 1/8" flat bar will be thick enough.
