How do I add talkback to a cobra 29?

place a 2200 ohm (red, red, red) resistor across the middle pin of the pa jack and the middle pin of the external speaker jack. you can do it on the rear of the board. that gives you quiet talkback.

Solder side, I find a 1watt 100ohm works well, loud enough to hear, not to loud. If you wanted to do variable talk back use a 500 ohm pot, 1/2 or 1 watt. Anything smaller will burn out.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
