Can anyone tell me how to wire a Turner +2 to a Colt Excalibur SSB? I can't find it in the Turner wiring guide. The wire colors are red black white and shield. Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks, Dan

Pulling from here: http://www.iw5edi.com/ham-radio/5882/mic-wiring-diagrams

And here: http://hammadeparts.jivetones.com/A...ner Wiring Diagrams (Var. microphones) WW.pdf

Looks like it should be:
white (audio) -> pin 1
Shield (ground) -> pin 2
Red (receive) -> pin 3
Black (transmit) -> pin 4

From the Turner guide it looks like you'll have to figure out whether or not you need to move wires between contacts on the PTT switch. Unless the mic has a switch for going between electronic and relay switching already built in. I can see from eBay pics that there is a switch on the bottom of the mic, but I can't tell if that's for switching between keying types or for disconnecting the battery power.

All standard disclaimers apply, since I don't actually own either of these.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
