Got a good one for you guys, how about a Uniden Lincoln HR2510? You are probably going to tell me it is not worth the time to fix this aren't you? Com on, it looks like a piece of cake inside these covers? I have 4 HR2510 with no Receive or Transmit, where do we start , LOL.
I am serious about maybe 1 getting fixed and 12 Meter Mod, has a UC-1250A Chip, looks to be a Virgin, just got a new good Board off eBay, working radio, Just set the Frequency's on the board, now I will check the Voltage Regulator 9V 0V 7.5V, this is on main board. The 2 on PLL Board are 9.1V .05V 5.05V ( L78M05CV) and 9.08V 0.0V 7.5V (L78M08CV). Well, any ideas or you want me to scrap the radio, your call.
Any ideas, I do have the Manual, not the Sam's, but the copy from the Internet. New MRF497 Final, PLL Board Recapped, did the C95, C97 25V upgrade, .in the HR2510 Cookbook. This is all I have done. Any suggestions besides throw it away? Thank you, Mark, it can be done ,we can fix her, have a little humor, Have a great Sunday, don't forget Church?

Got it,a,good tune,,sound like brand new, final doing good, got 25watts on AM, a d almost 50 watts on SSB. The radio coroperated very well,I learned from Handy Andy on the basics of tuning a radio, THANKS HANDY, a 2 to 3 week lesson from him ( sir ) a d it feels like I have been doing this forever.
One thing, I put in a new Voltage Regulator, I he one on the Chassis is factory, and is no good. I would like to change the Voltage Regulators,Chassis, and PLL Board, as I read the ones in the radio are to be bad, if they are factory, not sure as I tried to find the link for making sure I have the correct Regulators Heard that the NTE960 is a replacement, not sure, have not seen anything about that Regulator. Any ideas on the Voltage Regulators, would like to replace, but maybe wait till they quit.
OK, I think that's it for now. Hey, do you want me to grab another HR2510 from my bench, and have a fixing party. Sounds like fun, first one ( I'll do it he work ) who guesses what is wrong, wins nothing, but gets credit from his followers, yeah, that's the ticket. Any takers,LOL. I guess everybody is glad it is fixed, huh, like I said, wanna try another?
Not, ones enough.
Do you recommend the 12 meter mod, this radio is just the factory frequencies, no mods, just recapped. That's it, recapped, so it has been molested, pots off, dust all over, like it came from the desert, still has the glue all over every where. Do you recommend taking the glue off the parts before they eat holes in everything? Well, have a good night evening, this radio wore me out, to much brain work. But it works,YESthaks again Gentlem
Thank you for your time, much appreciated sir.

Now, sorry to say, blowing fuses now. And the final MRF497, and driver C2166 are Crispy Critters. Oh well,I thought it was going to good. It keeps blowing the power supply fuse, last time I had a radio that blew fuses, I went through almost 40 fuses, Amazon loved me. I guess back to the drawing board.Thats it
Well., I am done for the night, sick of looking at a 2510, yuck. I guess I might have another final.but I have to look through a mess.Thats it, have a goodnight men.

Going to do a quick estimate on this HR2510, It probably is going to be over the price limit for repairs, my opinion? Going to reacess the situation, though I could learn a thing or two on this rig?Oh well, I may reacess the 3 more 2510's I have sitting here, and look into one of these 2510's.Maybe, depends on what is wrong with them, will try to tune them first, go from there. Mark, Enjoy the day.
