The Hurricane Watch Net (HWN) will activate at 7 AM EST (1100 UTC) on Wednesday, October 24 for Tropical Storm Sandy, in support of WX4NHC, the Amateur Radio station at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami, Florida. Yes! This means that the Weather Channel will begin 24/7 coverage of the "Tropical storm of the century" and we get to watch Jim Cantore find the windiest spot he can and do his "Tebow" pose as the camera fades in!!!

If we are lucky we will get some much needed rain. Water to keep cattle going through the winter. Moisture in the ground for next years crops too. Keep the ground moist so that pipes don't settle from all the dryness and separation of the soils.
