That info covers most of it. I will add Back in the day, when CB was at its peak the antenna was not very popular, the ones I remember in use were not the best performers, and typically used for limited space applications. There was much better choices, none all that much more expensive it was usually passed over any one of a number of more popular antennas.
One fellow in particular replaced his Silver Rod with a Radio Shack 1/4 wave GP and ended up with a pretty decent increase in performance all the way around. Also seem to remember a rather limited power handling capability, and issues with moisture effecting the antenna.
