I got my d104 tug-8 going again

...after sitting in a box for 20 years, I pulled it out to see what horrible things I did to it:
I lost "all" the screws, the rubber feet, my soldering was disgusting... and I broke a screw off in the base.

The screws to the base are tapped 6-24. Try finding those at Ace hardware. I drilled out the broken screw, the other holes too. I tapped them 10-32. I drilled additional holes in the bottom cover to install pull-through bumpers (glove box bumpers?) I cant lose those. They are permanently installed.

I lost all the screws to the plug. I had to rewire it anyway, so I replaced the whole plug.

I connected it to my President Washington 4 pin.

pin1 Black
pin2 Red
pin3 white
Pin4 shield

then clicked the base to relay switching

At some point I should write down what the connections are in the base..but for now, I'm Astatic... (cough cough) ecstatic...lol

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
