I have a 735 icom and it had been in storage for years,Went through the rig and
aligned everything with the service manual to spec and the radio is talking with
about 100 watts on all bands..Pretty good reports..Here is a strange issue i set
the pre driver current to 100 MA as per the service manual..However when i
follow the service manual for the final Bias i get about 540 Ma reading in rx
and tx and the VR 19 Adjustment changes nothing..So i thought i would put my Amp
meter in series with the POS lead and the adjustment (R19)will increase and
decrease the current drain..I can't figure that one out..I see about 1.3 amps in
rx mode and tx mode with the amp meter in series with the POS lead i see about
1,40 current drain..Any ideas??
