IC-735 or FT-747GX

Hello all and Good Day,

I'm just starting out in HF and I'm going to buy my first rig second hand. I have two choices.

IC-735 for $300

OR

FT-747 GX with homebrew 20 amp power supply for $200

I'm based here in the Philippines so the $ price are conversion of our Peso currency.

The FT has been in the closet for something like 15 years.

I'm inclined to get the FT but I'm afraid I might regret it later.

Any feedback on both units will be greatly appreciated.

They are both good transceivers, I would pick the 735 over the 747 and both are priced right.
