Hello,

I have a icom ic-746PRO and I want to control it with my computer. I use the software rs-746 but when I open it, it stays at tx and I hear nothing.

What I do?
 

Do you just want to control it or are you also trying to interface it to your soundcard?
 
Usually the symptom you're describing has to do with an incorrect COM port setting. Try disabling DTR and RTS first and see what happens. I used to have a 746 Pro, but I don't remember all of the interface settings, and they depend a bit on the type of interface you have. You might have to play around with DTR and RTS to find the combination that works properly. Also make sure you have the correct baud rate setting.

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
