Regardless of which band or mode chosen in the band selected, with antenna and/or microphone and/or earphones connected or not, powered by 12v battery, when I turn on my 7000, the red TX light is always on. When last I turned it off, it was working well. All I did was move it to a different location. Any ideas, troubleshooting tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Gus, NU4L.

Maybe a factory reset may take care of the issue if nothing else works. you should be able to look the procedure up in your manual.

Is it hooked up to a PC by chance? Did you check to see if the Tune button is stuck in?

Icom company needs a spanking Im thinking. I hope its something simple and not serious like alot of the other rigs Ive read about. :w00t:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
