Icom 730 frozen display

I wonder if anyone knows how difficult or simple is fixing an Icom 730 with frozen frequency display. The radio receives static so I can't tell what frequency is in and no TX was attempted. This is NOT my radio, just trying to help someone else.

I heard this could be due to bad contact from one of the boards.

Baco, i checked out ehams reviews on icom 730 and didn't see anything about frozen display.But i can tell you that icom's 730 get's very high reviews.I can send you in the right direction,i have been told MTS does excellent repairs on icoms.Here is urlwww.angelfire.com/biz2/mts/
