HF receive isn't that big of a deal to me, but I know it is to some. I kinda like what they've done with this radio as the next evolution of D-STAR HT's. The 440 version I have is very nice, just too limited in function outside of D-STAR.

True, HF sensitivity usually lacks. I do like HT's with decent medium wave coverage. I likes my 700 WLW.

HF RX is the last thing I care about in an HT. When I use an HT (very rarely) it is a situation when my mind is faaar from HF. I suppose some like a does-all rig but I prefer job-specific rigs. The performance is always better as there is no compromises.

I rarely talk on 2 meters myself. I use my Baofeng more for FM broadcast than anything.

I like both of these new entries, but doubt I would ever buy one. I must have an aversion to 2/440. I do like simplex, but everyone around here are repeater junkies.
