Icom P7 extended tx mod

I just scored an Icom P7 (Japanese version, not the P7A) on eBay, and I tried to do the suggested extended transmit mod, since it doesn't provide full US 2m/70cm coverage. I was going to do this by removing the diodes behind the access panel behind the battery and then doing a full reset of the radio (FUNC + SQL + V/M while powering on the radio). However, it only had a diode on the far left position (away from the PTT switch) and nothing on the two positions closest to the PTT switch. Is it possible to open up the transmit on this version of the radio?
Many thanks in advance.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
