I'm looking into possibly buying one of these rigs.

I know about the internal battery that needs to be changed every 10 years or so.And i'm also aware that the battery can be replace with a pc board to eliminate battery all together.

Beside that,whats your review on icoms 751a?

Had one for several years, drifts a bit but very nice radio and I enjoyed mine up until I got out of radio for a while, sorry to have let it go now that I think back on it. Had everything to go with it too... :(

It's one of the BEST HF Rigs out on the market. Excellent RX, same goes for TX audio quality, and the variable Noise Blanker is one of the best! The one I have has the built-in PS and I really liked this rig. It's put up in the box for now though, while I play around with my FT-897D. This is an old post.Finance's went sour.But i still know where to buy one thats in excellent condx. For now i will keep using my FT100D paired up with the MD100 mic, it has served me well. :D
