ive had a imax 2k before great antenna could anyone give me some reports on the spectrum 1600 i herd it had good recieve some thoughts on the spec 1600 would be great

imax 2000 or spec 1600

Out of the two, Id go with the IMAX 2000.
Have you seen the materieals they use to build the Spectrum 1600? Horrible! The plastic coil housing has a tendancy to retain moisture also. It works and many locals seem to like them, but i've seen them fail and it not pretty.

I had my Spectrum 1600 up about 37' for many years. After about 2 years I lowered the antenna to tighten screws. An excellent performing antenna. Niether the Spectrum or the 2000 use top quality materials. I think the 1600 will outperform the Imax and is well worth the money (less than $100).

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
