I want to install a roger beep on my 148 with a on/off. I am no tech and wondering how difficult is this. Talking mobile to base etc.my wife can't tell when I have unkeyed thought this would help. Is there another way to do this with out soldering and cutting?

without soldering ............no.these boards solder in .you can look for a mic with a roger beep built in .they are out there.
or buy a radio with a factory beep in it .
or buy a radio with a factory beep in it .
If your wife can't tell when you unkeyed she definately must have a problem hearing you so a roger beep is not what you need. You need a better antenna system or some fire in the wire.
